Its all good...until it isn't
My sister-in-law hired a doula for both her kids. I'm not sure why they wasted the money.. I'd of been happy to say "push" and other happy nonsense for the grand or so that they paid her out of pocket (insurance doesn't pay for doulas or witch doctors). After all the odds are only about 1 in a 100 that something will go wrong. With 2 lives at stake, why not play the odds? Woman have been having babies for centuries they say. Sure, and take a look at the infant mortality rates for those years, will ya? And your kid may be just fine - mom could dead instead! Or maybe just a little brain damage for the kid - something that isn't a problem if he wants to be President.
Here's a tip: quit being stupid and have your kid in a hospital. Going broke isn't as bad as knowing that the choices you made killed your wife or kid.
