Virgin Group boss Richard Branson said on Friday he would aim to avoid buying fuel-thirsty four-engined airplanes in future for both economic and environmental reasons. Virgin recently purchased 15 of Boeing's new fuel-efficient 787 Dreamliner jets which use approximately 27 percent less fuel per passenger. Branson has also said that Virgin will begin using biofuels in 747's sometime next year. The company already allows customers to help offset their travel during ticket purchasing in some countries.
