Solar Water Lilies could revitilize urban waterways

Good idea...but won't work

Love that they are coming up with all these great new way of bringing solar to cities. Here's my problems with this:

1. Boat Traffic - They are going to get hit.
2. Bird Droppings/General Dirt - They are going to get full of bird doo and well as grimey dirt from the water. Will need to be cleaned regularly.
3. How often is the sun directly above? Solar panels need to be angled.
4. What's wrong with the roof tops?

Look, the only thing that should go in a river are turbine type generators that capture the constant rush of water and convert it to energy. Whats wrong with that?
