Close encounters of the glacial kind

The most scenic drive in the world; that's how the Icefields Parkway in Canada's Banff and Jasper National Parks bills itself. I wouldn't disagree. One of the highlights is the Columbia Icefield, the largest icefield in North America. It has several glaciers flowing down from it, one of which is the Athabasca Glacier.
