DGFT India provides a set of guidelines and framework for importers and exporters wanting to trade in India. DGFT IEC stands for Importer Exporter Code issued by DGFT. Any bonafide person/ company starting a venture for International trade require DGFT IEC. The guidelines are set by DGFT India - Director General of Foreign Trade.
