Decorating a Sustainable Tree

How to go green with your Christmas tree! Buy from a local, organic and/or family-run tree farm; use a potted tree than can be maintained year-round; or chop from a responsible tree farmer. When the season is over, recycle your tree for wood chips or use it to prevent soil and dune erosion. Check with your city first to make sure the latter is ok.
