Google your breed!

Not long ago we were looking for a miniature Schnauzer for a friend. Someone told me there was a rescue shelter near our home. When I Googled "miniature Schnauzer rescue" there were hundreds of shelters listed! I narrowed to North Carolina and had quite a few. There was one within a 1/2 hour of our house. I would bet you can do the same with just about any breed.

If you want a pet, please don't spend lots of money on one when there are so many lovely pets in shelters. Even if you want a particular breed, you could probably make a couple of phone calls and get just what you want.
Joy of Adopting a Pet
Our last two dogs were both adopted from families who couldn't keep them anymore. It was a wonderful experience to save these dogs and a blessing to our family to have them!
