Computers are very similar to cars - keep them maintained and they'll go on forever. I'm a recent open-source (Ubuntu Linux) convert so I try to convince my co-workers that their old computers can be just as useful running Linux now, as they were when they ran Windows a few years back :)

Computer speeds.
But does it help that you can get you work done faster and more efficiently with the newer model? Then you don't have to spend as much time on the computer thereby saving energy? Ok, or as in my case I get finished earlier then I can come over to Hugg earlier?
