Windspire: Affordable Residential Wind Power

Wind power has gained a lot of popularity over the last few years. We've seen mega-watt wind installations through out the world, the development of wind co-ops, and a flurry of small and micro wind turbines released to the residential market. Most of these small and micro turbines are expensive and don't generate enough energy to be cost effective. However, Mariah Power's Windspire turbine may change the residential small wind market. The Windspire has just passed ETL (safety) certification for the U.S. and Canada and is expected to be available in early 2008.
