According to this scientist it may be feasible to harness the power of tornadoes to generate electricity. Essentially these power plants would create safe vortexes which are fed through turbines. It's estimated a power plant of this type could generate 200 megawatts of electricity enough for a small city.

And get this they made it run on hydrogen so that makes it "green". Thanks Ford, by the way how much material went into the production of this oversized monstrosity?
