10 steps to Energy Efficiency at Home
Most people simply do not realize how effective energy efficiency is in the fight against global warming and rising energy cost. More can be done for the environment by simply increasing the efficiency of existing homes and building than by removing all of the automobiles and planes in the entire United States. The following list is my top ten energy efficiency techniques and products which I have determined to be the most cost effective and worth while things to do in any home.

See-Through Photovoltaic Glass
I recently came across a very unique photovoltaic product, in fact it is quite amazing. It is based on amorphous(non-crystalline) silicon photovoltaic technology, making it ideal for both power generation and controlling light and heat.

Algae Biofuel No Longer a Pipe Dream
Petrosun's most recent press release announced the actual commencement of operations of the first algae-to-biofuel plant. This comes as a bit of a surprise, but a very nice one considering the huge environmental benefits of microalgae biofuel over typical corn, soy and sunflower biofuels. Here are just some of the facts...

Green LEED Buildings Getting Top Dollar And High Occupancy
LEED certified buildings are currently receiving federal subsidies which offset the cost of the required energy system commissioning and processing fees. In my opinion this makes the entire LEED process well worth it, but many are still not convinced… until now.
