Water Vortex used to drive a powerplant - producing 57,000kW/hour for the last year.
(via blog.hasslberger.com)
Instead of a normal dam, why not spin a waterwheel by the creation of a slow-moving vortex? The fishies will like it, and you will end up with a silent method for producing energy. One has already been running in Austria, and this form of utilizing the spiraling movement inherent in nature should be commended.
