"[The Ambiente Housing owners Simon and Malcolm (Simon's father)] invented the composite material process and product that makes up Ambiente Housing’s homes, which are 85-percent recycled glass. No wood, drywall or
metal is used in the construction of [these] homes. 'We take old beer bottles and other recycled glass, grind them up and create a composite material that is formed into panels, which create the walls, foundation and roof,' Simon Parrish said. 'They look just like normal walls, but they are six times stronger than steel.'"
