Cars.com has announced that for the first time ever, the Toyota Prius has become the most searched for new vehicle on the popular vehicle classifieds site — surpassing long time favorites such as the Accord and Camry.
Not only that, their top ten list for new car searches (see below) now contains mostly fuel-sippers including the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civ

With Lower Gas Prices, Searches For SUVs Surge While Hybrids Decline

A recent Cars.com survey of online used car searches shows people are again more interested in gas-guzzling SUVs then when gas prices were higher, while interest wanes in hybrids and small cars. Meanwhile, industry-sponsored pundits continue to spread the myth that the bigger the car, the safer everyone is on the road. Consider the two safest cars.
