French Power Provider Plans 12 MW Solar PV Farm in France

This month, French power provider, Sechilienne-Sidec signed an agreement with the municipality of Saint Laurent du Maroni that will make land available for the construction of a 12-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) farm. The solar PV farm is expected to begin operating at the beginning of 2009.
The company says that this is the largest photovoltaic project ever announced in France.
