They have been in business for over 30 years, their product SolarWall (the "transpired solar collector") is in use on buildings for the US Military, Wal-Mart, Fed Ex, Bombardier, Ford, GM, etc, they have won multiple awards and has been praised by the United States Department of Energy as "[in the] top two percent of energy related inventions." - why don't they get more coverage?!? Watch the flash presentation and tell me this isn't a serious and practical solution to help mitigate GHG gases and climate change...

Solar Energy; Not Just Electricity
A common inaccuracy that I frequently encounter -- through work, in the media, and in government -- is based on an implied assumption that energy, and energy displacement, and therefore solar energy, revolves solely around electricity. This perception is pervasive in several countries around the world.
Video: PARC and Solfocus's New, Concentrated Solar PV System
Margot Gerritsen visits the Palo Alto Research Center again to have a look at the new concentrated solar PV system designed at PARC with Solfocus, a start-up incubated at PARC. It's a clever device that is designed to reduce the amount of silicon needed in PV systems per Watt produced.
Video -- PARC: From Inkjets to Solar PV
Margot Gerritsen, Faculty Member, Department of Energy Resources Engineering, Stanford University, interviews Scott Elrod, Manager of the Hardware SystemsGroup, Palo Alto Research Center (PARC); about the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center's ventures into the clean technology area. Recently, PARC worked together with the start-up SolFocus on the development of a new type of solar PV system, which is as effective as existing solar PV technology but requires a muchsmaller volume of silicon per unit area.
Video: Schwarzenegger Highlights Nation's Largest Rooftop Solar Installation
Governor Schwarzenegger joins Southern California Edison officials on the rooftop of ProLogis in Fontana, CA, to announce the nation's largest rooftopsolar installation project ever proposed by a utility company.
Startup Makes Cheap Solar Film Cells With Inkjet Printer - Konarka Power Plastic - Popular Mecha

Comparing Solar Panels
An article comparing price, efficiency and the environmental impact of different solar panels.
Video: Expert Discusses Future of Solar Power
Lawrence Kazmerski, Director of the National Center for Photovoltaics, discusses the prospects of solar-photovoltaic (PV) technologies, arguing that this solar-electricity source is at a tipping point in the very complex realm of worldwide energy. Kazmerski discusses how recent research and development advances in areas such as solar

No Money Down Solar
NOT a pitch for CitizenRE, but rather an explanation of how, for homeowners in some parts of the US, it's cheaper to install a solar system through a home improvement loan than to continue to pay utility rates.
