Even as President Bush this week pledged to increase funding for national wildlife refuges, the Canadian Government is slashing its Canadian Wildlife Service, including cuts to key wildlife monitoring programs -- some by as much as 70%! Nature Canada is urging people to write to Prime Minister Harper to demand a fully supported wildlife service.
