Fred Maas, President and CEO of Black Mountain Ranch LLC and Developer of Del Sur, an 1,800-acre "green" residential community in San Diego, Calif.,praised Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA), John Ensign (R-NV) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) for introducing the "Clean Energy Stimulus Act." The Act extends expiring tax credits for renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Climate change is altering Pacific gray whales’ migration patterns. According to Rob Davis, “The whales’ fall migration south past San Diego is peaking five days later than it once did. Once they get to Baja, they’re staying two weeks less than they did in the late 1970s.”

A new housing complex in San Diego that runs completely on Solar energy.  This is a great example of new homes that can be environmentally friendly but still have all the luxuries of a typical home/condo.
